About

South West Washington Indian Cultural and Charitable Association (SWWICCA) established in 2013 is an Indian American non-profit organization. Its primary objective is to bring Indian community in South West Washington together and promote Indian culture in Vancouver, WA metro area.
It provides an excellent opportunity for the children to learn about the rich and ancient cultural heritage of India, through organizing various cultural, art and literacy events. SWWICCA also promotes and fosters goodwill between local people and the people of Indian origin through cultural exchanges and charity for local unprivileged people.

Our Goal

The primary goal of the organization is to raise awareness of the work of nonprofit events around Vancouver metro and encourage members and volunteers to participate and support charity events. Secure require resources and funding to continue our mission. Conduct cultural and social events to encourage children and youth to learn about Indian culture and rich heritage.

Dr. Mukesh Thawani
President

Dr. Mukesh joined the Organization in 2013 and worked as Secretary prior to this role and is instrumental in bringing many new and diversified members into this organization. 

Poonam Vaswani
Secretary

Poonam joined the organization in 2013 and have been paying key role in mentoring new members and MCs. She assumed the secretary role in 2018. 

Rama Sarma Palepu
Treasurer

Rama Sarma joined the organization in 2013 and worked as chief event coordinator before assuming the Treasurer role in 2016.
